Hiya all!! This is Shanna checking in from Seattle! We are in a beautiful library taking a little break. Jonathan wanted me to write about our day yesterday so here goes nothing! :)
We arrived in Port Townsend via Ferry (first time for some of us) around mid-night and take the venture of finding a gravel road leading to our friends house. Noelle greeted us @ the door with a huge smile and loving arms and hands to help us load in the house. We got a much need nights rest and woke up around 8am to a beautiful view of the Puget sound. Showers we had and breakfast was made as we planned out our adventures for the day. We loaded up into the van around 8:45 in hopes of catching the ferry into downtown Seattle. Its the most amazing thing because it drops you off right in the heartbeat of the city, so it was very fun for those of us who have never seen the city before. Pikes Place to the left and Seahawks stadium to the right (hey no BOOING!) We make our way to city center. There we meet some amazing people who are so happy to have us there to help. Half of us painted a room/office (okay MOSTLY painted the office, only a "LITTLE" on ourselves) for them while the others folded and organized a bunh of donated clothing for the shelter.
After a long days work we were able to make our way down to the Old Speghetti Factory for some wonderful food and amazing fellowship. Once done we headed down to the Mariners stadium to pass out some free hugs, along the way our sprits were filled and we met some special people. WE ended the night back on the ferry to Port Townsend where our wonderful host had warm beds waiting for us! :)
Random facts of the day.
